Purpose-built for Bing Search
Get ranked organic results in the same stable data model used throughout PrismCrawl, including source, domain, snippet, and position details.
Set coordinate location, result country, interface language, desktop or mobile context, safe search, time range, and supported Bing search hints.
Continue from the exact Bing result page using the response’s native continuation token instead of approximating arbitrary offsets.
One request
Send JSON to a dedicated endpoint. PrismCrawl returns a request ID and a normalized response you can use immediately or inspect later.
curl "https://api.prismcrawl.com/v1/microsoft/search" \
--request POST \
--header "x-api-key: <PRISMCRAWL_API_KEY>" \
--header "content-type: application/json" \
--data '{"query": "electric bike comparison","cc": "us","setlang": "en-US","coordinates": { "latitude": 30.2672, "longitude": -97.7431 },"device": "desktop"}'Common workflows
Microsoft retired the Bing Search APIs on August 11, 2025. PrismCrawl returns live Bing results as structured JSON through one POST endpoint. When migrating from Bing Web Search v7, send q as query, keep cc, pass setLang as setlang, and replace offset paging with the returned next_page_token.
Build a Bing SERP checker by matching a target domain against organic results, then store observations from scheduled searches to create ranking trends and client reports. The rank tracking integration covers domain matching, missing results, and historical storage. Use the same data for competitor research, keyword intent analysis, and search-powered applications.
Read data.content.results for listings and serp_features for supported feature entries. Preserve result types and position fields so a feature is not mistaken for an organic rank. Bing decides which features appear for each query; a successful search does not guarantee a particular feature.
| Control | How to use it |
|---|---|
| cc | Set the Bing result country, such as us. Save it with every ranking observation. |
| setlang | Choose an interface-language hint such as en-US. This does not filter result language. |
| coordinates | Send latitude and longitude to bias local relevance. This is not a strict geographic filter. |
| device | Select desktop, mobile, or tablet. Keep each device in a separate ranking series. |
| tbs and safe | Use documented time-range and safe-search controls when the workflow calls for them. |
For workflows that collect both engines, compare these controls with the Google Search API. The SERP API hub explains shared output and billing.
This server-side JavaScript example collects at most three pages, using the continuation token returned outside content. Keep the original search parameters on each request. Each successful page is billed separately.
const parameters = {
query: "electric bike comparison",
cc: "us",
setlang: "en-US",
coordinates: { latitude: 30.2672, longitude: -97.7431 },
device: "desktop",
};
let token;
for (let page = 0; page < 3; page++) {
const response = await fetch("https://api.prismcrawl.com/v1/microsoft/search", {
method: "POST",
headers: {
"x-api-key": process.env.PRISMCRAWL_API_KEY,
"content-type": "application/json",
},
body: JSON.stringify({ ...parameters, ...(token ? { next_page_token: token } : {}) }),
signal: AbortSignal.timeout(30_000),
});
if (!response.ok) throw new Error(`Search failed: ${response.status}`);
const payload = await response.json();
if (!payload.success) throw new Error("Search did not succeed");
for (const result of payload.data.content.results ?? []) {
console.log(result.type, result.rank, result.url);
}
token = payload.data.next_page_token;
if (!token) break;
}Test targeting in the API playground, check all supported fields in the documentation, and budget recurring searches with the SERP pricing guide or cost calculator.
Microsoft retired the Bing Search APIs on August 11, 2025, and no longer issues new keys. Microsoft now points developers to Grounding with Bing Search in Azure AI Agents. PrismCrawl provides live Bing search results as JSON through a standard REST API with an API key.
Yes. Each request returns ranked Bing results for one keyword, country, location, and device. Match your domain against the organic results to get its position, and save each check to build a Bing ranking history.
When Bing returns a supported native AI summary, PrismCrawl includes it in data.content.serp_features with type ai_summary, summary text, and source links. No additional request flag is required. Availability depends on Bing, the query, and the selected region.
PrismCrawl returns live Bing search results as normalized JSON, including ranked listings and supported SERP features when present. You can also request Brotli-compressed, Base64-encoded source HTML.
Yes. Set the result country, coordinate location, and desktop, tablet, or mobile device. Coordinates bias local relevance rather than enforce a geographic boundary. Keep these inputs fixed across checks.
No. setlang is an interface-language hint for Bing-generated labels. It does not restrict result documents to that language, and Bing may fall back to English.
Pass the opaque data.next_page_token from the preceding response with the same account, query, device, targeting, time range, and search controls. Tokens expire after one hour; restart pagination if rejected or expired. Stop when there is no token. Values of first above one must match the token.
No. Each successful search uses one credit from your shared PrismCrawl balance, including supported SERP features. Every successful pagination request uses another credit.
