Google Maps Reviews API

Google Maps Reviews API returning complete review text, ratings, and authors for a place, with sorting and continuation-token pagination.

Retrieve Google Maps reviews by place ID or hexadecimal data ID, with sorting, topic or text filters and continuation tokens.

Make a request

Use your existing PrismCrawl API key and credit balance. A completed request consumes one credit, including recognized empty or unavailable results and source changes found during a valid continuation. Validation and operational errors remain uncharged. Each completed continuation request is billed separately.

POST /v1/google/maps/reviews
curl 'https://api.prismcrawl.com/v1/google/maps/reviews' \
  --request POST \
  --header 'content-type: application/json' \
  --header 'x-api-key: <PRISMCRAWL_API_KEY>' \
  --data '{

  "id": "ChIJaXQRs6lZwokRY6EFpJnhNNE",
  "language": "en",
  "limit": 10,
  "sort_by": "relevance"
}'

Structured results

Read items from data.content.results. The response also includes the search metadata, pagination state, and any extracted SERP features. Optional fields appear when supplied by the provider.

Use the returned next_page_token to continue through native full-text review pages, keeping the other request parameters unchanged. limit is a maximum: an initial unfiltered page returns at most 10 reviews, and continuation pages can return up to 20. If Google restricts access but supplies verified reviews, data.content.search_parameters.access_limited and pagination_limited are true, has_next_page is false, and no continuation token is returned. pagination_reason is source_access_limited. Keep the returned reviews, but do not treat this as confirmation that all reviews were collected. Access can vary between requests; starting over later or using a different sort does not guarantee more reviews. Each successful request, including a restricted result or a successful retry, costs one credit. Upstream errors are uncharged. On a restricted continuation, retry the same input token while it remains valid to retry that page, and deduplicate reviews by ID.

Continue with data.content.next_page_token when has_next_page is true. Omit page when using a token and keep the other request parameters unchanged, including the query or ID, country, language, device, result limit, and sort order. Stop when no token is returned. Tokens belong to the same account and expire after one hour. Restart pagination if a token is expired or rejected, including tokens issued before authenticated tokens were introduced. If the source inventory changes after a valid continuation is fetched, a completed HTTP 200 response costs one credit and marks pagination_limited: true with pagination_reason: stale_cursor. Keep any returned results and restart pagination; no continuation token is returned.
