Bing SERP checker

Check where your site ranks on Bing for any keyword, country, and device with the PrismCrawl Bing Search API. Copy the script and start with 100 free credits.

Check a Bing ranking in three steps

1. Create an account

Sign up to get an API key and 100 free credits. One Bing results page uses one credit.

2. Pick a country and device

Set the cc country code and desktop or mobile. Rankings often differ between markets and between devices.

3. Find your domain

Read the organic results in order and stop at the first URL on your domain. That position is your Bing ranking.

Try one search

This request returns the first page of live Bing results as JSON. Each organic result includes its url, title, and snippet, and next_page_token fetches the next page. You can run the same search without code in the dashboard API tester after you sign up.
curl
curl https://api.prismcrawl.com/v1/microsoft/search \
  -H "x-api-key: $PRISMCRAWL_API_KEY" \
  -H "content-type: application/json" \
  -d '{"query":"serp api","cc":"us","device":"mobile"}'

Bing rank checker script in Python

The script below searches Bing for a keyword and returns your domain's organic position in the top 30 results. It only requests the next page when your domain is not on the current one, so a first-page ranking costs a single credit.
bing_rank.py
import os
import requests
from urllib.parse import urlparse

API_URL = "https://api.prismcrawl.com/v1/microsoft/search"
HEADERS = {"x-api-key": os.environ["PRISMCRAWL_API_KEY"]}

def on_domain(url, domain):
    host = (urlparse(url).hostname or "").removeprefix("www.")
    return host == domain or host.endswith("." + domain)

def bing_rank(keyword, domain, country="us", device="desktop", max_pages=3):
    """Return the organic position of domain on Bing, or None if not in the top pages."""
    position = 0
    token = None
    for _ in range(max_pages):
        body = {"query": keyword, "cc": country, "device": device}
        if token:
            body["next_page_token"] = token
        response = requests.post(API_URL, json=body, headers=HEADERS, timeout=30)
        response.raise_for_status()
        data = response.json()["data"]

        for result in data["content"]["results"]:
            if result.get("type") != "organic":
                continue
            position += 1
            if on_domain(result["url"], domain):
                return position, result["url"]

        token = data.get("next_page_token")
        if not token:
            break
    return None, None

rank, url = bing_rank("serp api", "prismcrawl.com", country="us", device="desktop")
print(f"Position {rank}: {url}" if rank else "Not in the top 30")

Why check Bing separately from Google

Bing ranks pages with its own index and signals, so a page on Google's first page can sit much lower on Bing, or the other way around. Bing also supplies results to other search experiences, including Yahoo and DuckDuckGo, and grounds answers in Microsoft Copilot. Checking Bing on its own tells you whether that traffic is reachable. To compare engines, see the rank tracker API for Google and Bing.

Track Bing rankings at scale

To track many keywords daily, run the script from a scheduler and store each position with the date. Credits start at $5 with no subscription. The rank tracker tutorial builds a working tracker, and the rank tracking API comparison prices the options at 1,000 and 10,000 keywords. Estimate your volume with the cost calculator, or see every Bing parameter on the Bing Search API page.

Frequently asked questions

How do I check my Bing ranking?

Search Bing for the keyword from the country and device you care about, then find the first organic result on your domain. The script on this page does that with the PrismCrawl Bing Search API and looks through the top 30 results.

Can I check Bing rankings for free?

New PrismCrawl accounts include 100 free credits. Each Bing results page uses one credit, so that covers dozens of keyword checks before you buy anything. You can run them from the dashboard API tester or with the script above.

Why are my Bing rankings different from Google?

Bing and Google use different ranking systems and indexes, so the same page often ranks in different positions. Bing results also power other search experiences, such as DuckDuckGo and Yahoo, so it is worth checking separately.

Why do my results differ from what I see on Bing?

Bing personalizes results based on location, language, device, and signed-in history. An API search runs without a signed-in account, from the country and device you choose, so it shows a neutral view.

Can I track Bing rankings automatically?

Yes. Run the script on a schedule for each keyword and store the position with the date. The rank tracker tutorial builds the storage and reporting around it.
